About the Author
Let me be clear, I am not the author. I am merely a scribe. Sondja is the true author, for it is her words that I have put to paper, her story. Her memories.

As for me, most people simply call me Melakertys, though my full title is Melakertys Velarys of the Elementorum Vítrorum, the Seventy-Second High Order Celestial Mage of the Glass Ship and Advena to the Realm of Bakíra. If you were counting, you'd know that makes me a former Mage of the Celestial Order, yet I'm still a mage at heart. Unfortunately, being a Magician doesn't mean I can simply call upon the Gods' graces. All it means is that I know things. Things others only wish they knew, and some things I wish I didn't.
